Carbon Calculator
EMIT is a corporate carbon emissions calculator I collaborated to develop while studying at CodeClan.

We were given a group, a handful of prompts, and roughly a week to design and develop a JavaScript application. My group decided to create a carbon emissions calculator for organisations looking to reduce the emissions produced from their employees' travel.

I took on many of the design and front-end responsibilities, including the development of wireframes and mockups, and actually styling the application using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Our final application can be found on GitHub.
Initial Mockup
After a lot of discussion around app requirements and developing some very basic wireframes, I took charge of developing mockups in Figma.

I was the only member of my group that had used Figma previously, and I am aware that Figma can have a steep learning curve for beginners so I kept the mockups relatively user-friendly and actively chose to not use some of Figma's prototyping tools.

I created several mockups for each page but below is everyone's favourite for the app's home page.
Final Application
As we developed the application, how we wanted the app to function and look shifted a bit over time. The app was through and through a collaborative effort, however I did a large part of the styling, coupling my existing knowledge of HTML and CSS with JavaScript skills I had developed through the course.
One things that was quite important to use as a group was that we created a responsive application, so you app was designed to be used on desktop, tablet, or mobile devices.
